We’re already halfway into January, and the new year has kicked off with a mix of fresh creativity… and seriously cold weather. Up here in Sweden, the last week has been full of snowdrifts, icy roads, and winds so sharp they could carve stone. Getting to town has literally meant digging the car out of a snowy cave — winter is definitely making itself known this year.But even with frozen fingers and frosty mornings, the creative fire is burning strong at Design Team Valhalla. And we’re excited to share what we’ve been working on these past weeks.
✨ New Traditional Ladies Released
We started the year by releasing a brand-new collection of traditional ladies. These designs are bold, clean, and crafted with the same high-quality line work you expect from us. Strong silhouettes, expressive faces, and classic tattoo aesthetics — made to inspire artists who love traditional style and want reliable, ready-to-use references.
💀 Major Update to the Sugar Skull Design Kit
One of the biggest tasks this month has been the overhaul of our Sugar Skull Design Kit for Procreate — and it’s finally live!The update includes:
- More skull templates
- New construction variations
- Fresh decorative elements
- A whole bouquet of flowers
- Extra swirls, filigree, and pattern pieces
- Cleaner edges and improved usability
It’s now one of our most versatile kits, packed with mix-and-match components so artists can build endless custom sugar skulls with ease.
✍️ Lettering Bundles in Progress
While those releases are out in the world, we’re deep into the next big updates: our lettering bundles.Right now, we’re:
- Refining old elements for sharper, cleaner execution
- Adding brand-new design pieces
- Creating unique tattoo fonts from scratch
- Building more layout guides and helpers
These new fonts and elements are crafted by hand, with the aim of delivering high-quality tools that feel authentic — not generic, not AI-generated, and not recycled. Just real craftsmanship shaped for artists who care about line weight, flow, and style.More news on these soon!
